PK is a comedic drama/romance film in which an innocent alien (PK) who looks like humans lands on earth (gola) and loses his communication device and he is bamboozled at the ways of our world and show the hardships and the funs he goes through to get his communication device (remotwa) back. The movie questions our undeniable faith in God and it delivers a social message that Gods don’t need our protection and we are no one to protect them. PK was a blockbuster both in the domestic and the global market and it fetched a whopping INR 832 crores or USD 112 million.

4. Bajrangi Bhaijaan

“Humanity knows no border” Salman Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Kareena Kapoor starring movie delivered this message beautifully. Artistically the movie is beautiful it shows some of the most beautiful scenery of Kashmir and it connects the culture of two separated nations. Shahida a Pakistani mute child separated from her mom in India and she meets Pawan (a religiously strict Hindu). The story revolves around the efforts made by Pawan to somehow deliver the child to her home. The movie is a complete package of action, drama, comedy, songs and aesthetics with a touch of Bollywood. Bajrangi Bhaijaan is a super successful movie both in India and in overseas and it managed to cross a revenue of INR 922 crores or USD 125 million.

Secret Superstar is one of the finest emotional drama movie ever created in Bollywood. The movie depicts the hardships of a mother and the girl who wants to become a recognized signer who wanted to become a popular star and who wanted to liberate herself from a conservative ideology and break the barrier to fulfill her dreams. This movie shows how strong a woman can be, a woman’s tolerance for domestic abuses and it is important for a woman to be empowered.
